Sisson makes Asphalt Switch

Regular BTRDA Gravel Gold Star competitor Wayne Sisson will switch to asphalt this season when he embarks on a full season campaign in the 2018 ProTyre Asphalt Rally Championship. Sisson competed on last year’s Ulster Rally in an AMS Mitsubishi Evo X and finished 3rd in the National section and was lying 4th in the National section on Last year’s Rally Isle of Man before turbo issues caused retirement.

Sisson has had good form on tarmac in recent years finishing many times within the top 10 on the likes of Manx National Rally & the Tour of Mull / Mull rally.

Using one of his firms AMS Built Mitsubishi Evo X Sisson sites the attraction of longer stage mileage events as the main reason for the switch “The attraction of doing 60-80 miles of quality competition mileage on a single day event and a pre event recce without taking too much time away from my business is very appealing to me, we did the Ulster & Rally IOM last year and really enjoyed those events ” Max Freeman a former member of the MSA Co Driver Academy will Co drive.
