Wayne Sisson will be aiming to build on his earlier round successes when he makes his Belgian rally debut on the Rally van Wervik (9 June) in his rapid AMS Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X.
Co-driven by Max Freeman, Sisson finished seventh on the opening Melvyn Evans Motorsport Tour of Epynt and third on the Bet On Aces Manx National to head into Round 3 in a magnificent second place overall. Having won his class both times, the Carnforth driver also leads B14.
Sisson isn’t fazed by the thought of his first rally in Belgium – quite the opposite in fact, as he goes there aiming to maintain his overall and class positions.
“I have never competed before in Belgium, so it will be a steep learning curve – but that doesn’t concern me, as I had never competed on Epynt before the first round in 2018, and we came away from there with a class win,” said Sisson. “So we will just have a good recce and a measured approach to the rally and see what happens.”
