Amaury joins live streaming commentary team at Rally van Wervik

Young Belgian WRC3 star Amaury Molle will join the Special Stage TV commentary team at this Saturday’s Rally van Wervik, giving expert analysis and insight during the live streaming from Round 3 of the Protyre MSA Asphalt Rally Championship.

The 23-year old will team up with Howard Davies on the microphones, as the camera team captures the very best of the live action from the smooth and fast roads of West Flanders.

Amaury is a former Belgian RC5 / R1 and RSBE Trophy (Renault Sport) Champion, and finished runner-up in the 2014 Belgian Junior Championship. This year he is driving a Peugeot 208 R2 in WRC3, and finished second at his first attempt at the Monte Carlo Rally in January. He is currently seventh equal on points in the WRC3 standings, after another finish on the Tour of Corsica. His next WRC3 outing is Rally Deutschland, which he’ll contest for a fourth time in a row, and he hopes to also contest Rally Spain and Wales Rally GB.

Amaury has studied English abroad, has a degree in Management, is a race/rally driving instructor and is a regular track day and road show exhibition driver.

“It really will be a pleasure to share a day with Special Stage TV during Rally van Wervik,” says Amaury. “This weekend I will not be in my usual position behind the steering wheel, but as a commentator – which I’m looking forward to. I will share some of my experiences of rallying on these roads which are similar to Ypres, which is where I won my class in the ERC in 2014. I have a long break after the first two WRC events of my 2018 programme, so it will be nice be in Wervik with something new and interesting to do!

“I’m am also preparing for the next round of WRC3, ADAC Rally Deutschland in August. After my very first podium finish, second place at Monte Carlo, I am working hard to get more budget to conclude the year with a top result overall in the WRC3 championship. In my first season in WRC3, I am learning about the rallies and getting as many kilometres under my belt as possible. Experience makes the difference, that’s my slogan! And for the next round that is particularly important, because it’s the fourth year in a row that I’ll participate in Germany, so I’m expecting a good result and getting point is the most important for the championship.

“I’d like to thank again my partners ServiMat, Leisure Pools, Neuronics, Humi-Tech/Air, Doneux, Exype and CRLS with Pevatec Competition who are in charge of my Peugeot 208 R2. And thanks to the Asphalt Rally Championship for the invitation to come to Wervik!

“Please don’t hesitate to like and follow me on Facebook as @amaurymolleracing, Instagram and on my website

“I’m looking forward to Saturday and talking about rallying with all of you on the live streaming broadcasts.”

Live streaming of Saturday’s Rally of Wervik will be available to view via the Special Stage Facebook page.
