The father and son team of Tim and Jack Waters will compete on this year’s Masterpixel Media Manx National Rally, Rounds 2 and 3 of the 2019 Protyre Motorsport UK Asphalt Rally Championship, on 10/11 May in their Renault Clio V6.
Since clinching the runners-up spot in Class B12 in 2018, the pair has spent the winter developing the Clio by replacing or upgrading many of its components.
“Last year’s Manx National was special for me,” says Tim. “I’ve always wanted to do the Isle of Man event but couldn’t have foreseen the severity of the Druidsdale stage in the dark and monsoon conditions – it was an experience!
“Considering it was only Jack’s second event, we did well to finish with maximum Championship points.”
The car has undergone several developments since last year, and the pair is looking forward to a good run, supported as always by Peter Williams and Mike Herring.
