This week’s fifth and final ‘Protyre Asphalt’ DiRT Rally 2.0 round will decide the Protyre Motorsports UK Asphalt Rally Championship eSports champion, with just six points separating ewantindall and NickyL555 at the top of the leaderboard.
Both gamers have now won two rounds each, with Round 1 winner NickyL555 this time using a historic rear-wheel drive Fiat 131 Abarth Rally to reign again in Spain.
Round 2 and 3 winner ewantindall still leads the series, having finished a very close second last week in a Ford Escort Mk II.
The top two gamers also set two fastest stage times in Spain, and were separated by 4.29 seconds at the end of the six stage event.
Blissy (Ford Escort Mk II) also set two fastest stage times.
There is also an extremely close battle for third place, with four gamers separated by just 12 points.
MightyGoose currently holds third in the overall standings, just two points ahead of YarnBarn who moved from sixth to fourth after Spain. Leetindall is just two points further back in fifth, while banksy87 is still very much in contention for bronze, despite dropping from fourth to sixth.
Round 5 has automatically started, with competitors having until 4pm next Monday (1 June) to complete seven Rally Germany stages.
For the grand finale, this week competitors get to choose from a Ford Fiesta R5, Peugeot 208 R5, Mitsubishi Mirage R5, Volkswagen Polo GTI R5, Citroën C3 R5 or a Škoda Fabia R5.
