Ledbury town centre start for Hills Ford Three Shires Stages Rally

Can we dare to believe that things are finally getting back to normal? Well, it certainly appears so – with the great news that the Hills Ford Three Shires Stages Rally will have a ceremonial start in Ledbury town centre on Saturday 4 September and that spectators will be allowed to watch both the start and the action on the stages!

The picturesque Market House will act as the backdrop to the start ramp when the 140 cars entered for Round 2 of the 2021 Protyre Motorsport UK Asphalt Rally Championship will take their turn at being flagged off.

All the competitive action for the Cheltenham Motor Club-organised event takes place the following day (Sunday 5 September) with a 66 stage mile / 14 stage route taking the competing cars through the three counties of Herefordshire, Gloucestershire and Worcestershire. Rally HQ and the Service Park will be based at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern.

Spectators will be welcome at the Ledbury ceremonial start for free, which will take place from 19.00 on the Saturday evening, with cars lining up in the town centre before they cross the ramp. Advance tickets for the Sunday’s closed road stages priced at just £20 per car are now available from: www.threeshiresstages.co.uk/spectators

Spectator areas have been made available on three of the five closed road stages with two of these providing two separate but very large viewing areas, with catering and toilets available at each. Spectators are urged to visit these areas to watch the rally rather than trying to visit non-spectator areas which do not have the space or facilities to manage them safely and could cause unnecessary problems for local residents and businesses on the route. Precise details of the locations of the spectator areas will be revealed in approximately two weeks’ time as well as a list of the closed roads.

Further details are available from the website: www.threeshiresstages.co.uk.
