RECORD BREAKING START FOR JUNIOR DRIVER GUS GREENSMITH
Gus Greensmith, who previously competed in the World Karting Championship competed in his first stage rally on the 15th of June. Gus and co-driver Melanie Holmes competed in the Summer Stages in Crail airfield, Scotland against 19 other junior crews. The crew worked their way up from last seeded car to finish 8th O/A!

Gus’ second event, although his first round of the English Junior F1000 Championship, was the Mid Summer Stages at Caerwent on the 23rd of June. He and Melanie finished 3rd in class, the best result a championship newcomer has achieved since the championship started in 2009!

Mauger 6R4METRO MADNESS FOR SIMON AND BRIAN
A last minute change of plan meant driver Dennis Marshal asked Simon Mauger to drive his car at the Mini Rally of the Midlands on the 22nd of June. The car was brought back to the Major Motorsport garage only the day before the event, where it had an express check over and clutch change!

This Metro is the first of its kind to have a Millington Series 2 engine installed, so everyone was anxious to see how it would perform on its debut outing.

Despite getting lost on the first stage (as did many other crews!), and a few teething problems with the car, Simon and Brian Cammack set the fastest stage times for the rest of the day, and won the event overall!

A great result for everyone involved! SIMONS TAKES THE LEAD IN THE 2 WHEEL DRIVE REIS MSA ASPHALT CHAMPIONSHIP AFTER THE ALMC RALLY
Simon Mauger and Brian Cammack travelled to Ireland for the 4th round of the MSA Asphalt Championship. The rally, held on the outskirts of Dublin, saw a fantastic entry. Simon and Brian were seeded car 10 behind a sea of world rally cars.

Dry roads allowed the crew to push on, setting great times on evey stage. It was a tough combat, but Simon and Brian came away having won the 2 wheel drive battle. The crew were presented with the MK2 Challenge trophy, 1st in class, Millington Escort Challenge winners and 7th O/A!

This now leaves the crew with enough points to take the championship class leaderboard, and puts Brian 2nd co-driver overall!

The event will be shown on Motors TV at 9pm on Friday 26th of July
