Rally van Wervik opens its books

Entry registrations are now open for Round 4 of the 2019 Protyre Motorsport UK Asphalt Rally Championship, the 45th WOODSTOXX – MOTUL Rally van Wervik, which takes place on Saturday 15 June.

The Belgian event proved extremely popular last year, with Rhys Yates becoming the first British driver to win it outright, after a great performance by him and co-driver Elliott Edmondson in their Brettex-backed Škoda Fabia R5.

With around 60 stage miles and only 40 or so road miles, the event, organised by Auto Club Scuderia Vervica V.Z.W, is a flat-out blast along the classic closed roads of West Flanders – with no artificial chicanes to spoil the flow.

It was a new event to the Asphalt Rally Championship last year, so going back for a second time will make everything a lot easier. Plus the event organisers could not be more helpful – with the website translated into English and the event director, Filiep Forrest, taking time to attend the Asphalt Rally Championship prizegiving last year and talk to competitors.

Rally van Wervik is a hugely popular event with Belgian crews, so registered Asphalt Rally Championship competitors are strongly advised to register their interest and confirm their entries as soon as possible.
