Tour of Epynt entries rush in

Within just a few days of entries opening for the Rallynuts Tour of Epynt, Port Talbot Motor Club has received 75 entries – with well over half of them being registered Protyre Motorsport UK Asphalt Rally Championship contenders.

The event takes place on Easter Saturday (11 April) and is the only round of Britain’s premier asphalt series to take place on Epynt this year.

This year the entire rally will be based on the famous mid-Wales military range above Sennybridge, with documentation, signing on, the start, finish and prizegiving all taking place within a very close proximity to each other, while the Service Area will be located at the Quarry. The action will take place over seven stages, totalling over 70 stage miles.

Some of the early entries confirmed for the event include Alan Kirkaldy/Cameron Fair (Ford Fiesta R5), Graham Coffey/Mark Fowler (Ford Fiesta S2000), Roger Moran/Den Golding (Skoda Fabia R5+), Gary Le Coadou/Bill Paynter (Hyundai i20 WRC), Chris Marshall/Andy Robinson (Mitsubishi Evo), Chris Wheeler/Shaun Leyland (Citroen DS3 R3T) and William Mains/Aled Edwards (Vauxhall Nova).

Registered Asphalt Rally Championship contenders are encouraged to get their entries in as soon as possible – and regulations can be found at the event website here.
