The Old Forge Garage Mewla Rally Regulations are published!

Regulations have been published for the opening round of the 2021 Protyre Motorsport UK Asphalt Rally Championship – The Old Forge Garage Mewla Rally.

Competitors planning to contest the Protyre Motorsport UK Asphalt Rally Championship are urged to register for the sealed-surface series online at www.btrdamembership.com prior to entering the event. It will not be possible to register for the series at the event.

Entries for the Mewla Rally open at 18.00 on Monday 5 July.

Organised by Epynt Motor Club, the non-spectator / 65 stage mile / 9 stage Mewla Rally takes place over the Epynt military range on Sunday 29 August.

The maximum number of starters is 120. The first 80 fully paid entries will be guaranteed a run on a first come, first served basis, with the remaining 40 entries to be allocated at the organiser’s discretion.

The standard entry fee, which includes one service pack, is £420.00.

Entries close for seeding at 23.59 on 18 August, although unseeded entries may be taken at the organiser’s discretion until 23.59 on 25 August.

This year the Mewla Rally will be held entirely on Epynt – with the start, finish, service area and rally headquarters also located on the range.

There will be no recce this year, but each competitor will be supplied with a digital video of the route courtesy of OnThePaceNotes.

This year’s Mewla Rally will be the seventh year of title sponsorship from Brian and Tim Dennis of The Old Forge Garage.

The event will also welcome on board Rally Marketing as an associate sponsor. Howard Watkins has continued to support the Mewla Rally for many years, and was title sponsor in 1995, 1996 and 1997.
