It was a blockbuster start to the live and recorded online TV coverage from the opening round of the 2023 Protyre Motorsport UK Asphalt Rally Championship, with well in excess of 160,000 views recorded so far from the Reed Group East Riding Stages.
It was virtually non-stop action during the event, as Special Stage TV sent two camera crews to the opening round of the UK’s premier sealed-surface series, ensuring that all registered competitors were featured in the live broadcasts.
There was top-class commentary too, with Mark James and Paul Woodford joined by frontrunning rally stars Mark Kelly and James Williams respectively, who were able to give their expert opinion and driver insight as to what was unfolding.
The finish ceremony was also streamed live, together with interviews with the top three crews.
As for the viewing figures, there were 89,000 views across the live coverage and pre-event interviews, while at the time of writing well over 70,000 views had been registered for the recorded highlights.
A further 5,500 views have been recorded on Special Stages’ YouTube channel.
