Brad Cole returns for a full Protyre Asphalt assault in a Fiesta Rally2

Brad Cole will contest this year’s Protyre Motorsport UK Asphalt Rally Championship in his Hydroline Solutions Fiesta Rally2 – and is targeting some top results in the second half of the year.

The Somerset driver made his debut in the new Ford on last year’s Hills Ford Stages – which was his first rally back after breaking his arm when he crashed a 2.5-litre Escort Mk2 on the Manx Rally.

Prepared by Trick Motorsport and run on events by East Budleigh Garage, Brad’s gorgeous blue Fiesta Rally2 picked up the Dynamic Fluids Best Presented Car Award on the Hills Ford, as selected by championship scruntineer Geoff Doe.

Co-driven by Jamie Vaughan, Brad will start the season on the opening East Riding Stages (23 February) – an event he contested in 2023 (finishing third in class and 14th overall after a trouble-free run in the Escort).

“I’ve no expectations in terms of results – I’m just going out to learn and enjoy the Fiesta Rally2 and take it rally by rally,” said Brad.

“My confidence took a knock on the Manx, and I’d have probably taken a year off if it wasn’t for the fantastic support of Hydroline Solutions, who helped me repair the Escort and got me into a Rally2.

“It’s a privilege to drive a Fiesta Rally2, and I hope that by the second half of the season we will have gained enough experience with the car to push for some strong results.”
