We are deeply shocked and heartbroken by the tragic accident that occurred on the Borders Competitions Jim Clark Rally today (Saturday 24 May).
We all love rallying, but nobody loved the sport more than Dai Roberts.
He was an exceptional competitor, and as well as being our 2022 Protyre Asphalt co-driver champion Dai was super competitive behind the wheel of his Peugeot 205 GTi.
He will be very sadly missed.
Whilst the rally community tries to come to terms with what’s happened, we wish to extend our heartfelt condolences to Dai’s family and friends, and wish James Williams a full and swift recovery.
