Entries open for the R Kings Down Rally

Entries are now open for the R Kings Down Rally, Round 4 of the Protyre Motorsport UK Asphalt Rally Championship, which takes place on Saturday 19 July.

The popular Northern Ireland event returns to the BTRDA sealed surface series for the first time since 2023 – which saw the closest finish in the history of the Protyre Asphalt Championship, with Steve Wood/Rob Fagg (Citroën C3 Rally2) beating Neil Roskell/Andrew Roughead (Ford Fiesta Rally2) to maximum points by just 0.1 seconds!

Organised by Rathfriland Motor Club, this year’s event is likely to be just as closely fought, with eight stages totalling 61.68 stage miles in a one day compact format.

The start (09:01), regroup (13:31), podium ceremony/prizegiving (17:00) and rally show will be located at The Boulevard outlet shopping centre in Banbridge.

There will also be a ceremonial start the evening before (Friday 18 July) for the top 20 seeded crews and invited competitors, beginning at 19:30.

Competitors can enter the event now via rallyscore.net.

Entries close at midday on Friday 27 June.

The Down Rally Sportity channel password is: RKDR25.
