Everyone at the BTRDA and the Protyre Motorsport UK Asphalt Rally Championship sends their sincere condolences to the family and friends of Darrell Taylor, who tragically passed away following a medical incident during Leg 1 of the Manx National Rally.
Never without a smile on his face, Darrell will be very sadly missed.
Darrel Taylor was a real gentleman and a true man of his word. Over many years of purchasing cars from him I learnt to respect his judgement and applaud his decency when the need to resolve a problem arose. He gave my son the opportunity of riding with him at the Festival of Speed Rally stages with the World Champion close on his heels , needlessly to say he held his position and the experience will always be cherished by my son for the rest of his life!
My condolences go out to his wife and family who I met on many occasions and without their support Darrel could never achieved such a rich and varied life.
