Matthew Baddeley’s gorgeous Self Storage Company/Stratos PDI Escort Mk2 has won the Dynamic Fluids Best Presented Car Award ahead of this weekend’s Borders Competitions Jim Clark Rally – Round 3 of the 2026 Protyre Motorsport UK Asphalt Rally Championship.
The award was presented to Matthew and co-driver Graeme Wood by the Protyre Asphalt Championship Co-ordinator, Paul Wakely.
Matthew won the Protyre Asphalt Class H1 on the East Riding Stages, which was the first time in six years that the former Rally First champion had driven on a rally – with his last outing behind the wheel back in the 2019 Fiesta ST Trophy – his first asphalt rally as a driver and his first driving a RWD car!
The award-winning Escort was purchased from Jason Lepley in 2023 and has since had a nut and bolt rebuild by Ally Tolson at Tolson Retrosport in North Wales.
